Placed in the middle of the city, hidden from its noise amid the backdrop of a charming, narrow alley, this house is able to capture the essence of Dehradun or rather is able to justify the reasons why city folks run to the hills. The House is known to be designed by “British Architects” around the late 1890s after carefully studying the “Vastu Shastra”. Stay at the Old British House feels like a setting out of the Ruskin Bond classic stories. There is a soft sense of celebration in that place with the affable people and their dog; the genteelness permeates. One can hear the birds chirping in the morning and sip a hot cup of bed tea lovingly served by the host, which can follow with a mouthwatering breakfast but if one prefers to sleep-on, then won't be disturbed!
